2) Eat a balanced diet

You are what you eat.

Food prepared with love nourishes your body, mind and emotions - with love.

With the weather getting cold, focus more on warm cooked foods like soups, stews or steamed salads.

A little bit of sweet is great for the heart! Especially if it’s easy to prepare and full of Ayurvedic nourishment.

3) Get enough sleep

Did you know there is a reason why many animals hibernate during winter season? The sleep and rest that they get through winter months helps them to strengthen their bodies for warmer weather.

This applies to us too. Good prolonged and deep sleep is a must for a strong heart and immune system. Good sleep helps to nourish the nervous system, balance the endocrine system and ultimately strengthens the immune system.

Ayurveda recommends sleeping for at least 8 hours per night, with a regular bedtime routine. Going to bed and waking up at the same time each day helps maintain your body’s natural circadian rhythm.

If you are having issues with resting why not consider the Ayurvedic Sleep Well Kit™ by Ayurveda Pura. This kit includes Dashamoola Herbal Mix, Ghee and Ashwagandha Capsules (60), part of Dr. Apte’s Sleep Well protocol.

By establishing a regular sleep routine, you will be able to get enough quality sleep each night. This will help to promote physical and mental health and can lead to a more balanced lifestyle.

4) Exercise regularly

We as human beings are creatures or community and movement. Lack of physical movement does impact the heart and immune system.

But most importantly lack of physical activity and movement impacts mental and emotional health too.

Something as simple as a 15 minute walk everyday will change your attitude, energy and wellbeing.
